Tomète: Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

MARILOU: I'm Marilou, a digital strategy consultant for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. I live between Paris and Brittany.

How would you describe your interior design style?

My decor is eclectic, timeless and lively.

Can you tell us about the city or neighborhood you live in? How does it influence your interior design?

I live in the Marais district of Paris. I love the buzz you find there at any time of day, but also the daily family atmosphere with the shopkeepers. The proximity to the quays makes it easy to get some fresh air while admiring Notre Dame, always so beautiful and inspiring.

Tell us a story about the layout of this interior.

The closest and fastest move: my old apartment, which I also really liked, is 800m away.

What is your philosophy regarding the art of the table?

Friendliness, generosity, and memories. Whether it's a special occasion or not, my door is always open to welcome guests!

A memorable memory or something special to share about one of the meals you organized or participated in?

I have many, but I'm thinking of a very beautiful lunch that I organized for a beauty brand with around thirty women, all as inspiring as each other.

What kind of host are you? Team "I think about the menu and decor weeks in advance" or team "last minute"?

Both?! If it's planned well in advance and if it's unexpected, there will always be something planned with a pretty table and flowers!

A song we'll definitely listen to if we're invited to your place:

It can be Frank Ocean or a Jazz playlist.

How would you describe the atmosphere of your room in a few words?

It's a small cocoon, optimized and refined with lots of storage space.

A simple tip to give character to a room?

Beautiful bed linen with comfortable materials to sleep even better than in a hotel (I swear by linen and cotton percale), a pretty candle and/or bedside lamp with a slightly subdued light, and a quilt to change the atmosphere with a flick of a wrist.

What did you like about the Tomète universe or our products?

The story behind the creation of Tomète, and the festoon, of course, that makes THE difference. Beautiful products with beautiful materials.

Which Tomète product did you choose for your home, and why?

The pink and white scalloped placemats and cushions will also be a great addition to the living room and bedroom. I really like the latest addition, the cotton percale bed linen.

What place does household linen hold in your home?

A large space, it allows you to change the atmosphere and decoration easily without changing all the furniture, and adapts according to the seasons and moods.

To finish :

A current decor inspiration: A photo book from Taschen; “My Window” by David Hockney or “Los Angeles, Portrait of a City”.

A color or material that speaks to you right now? Denim.
