To mark the rentrée, we’re delighted to share a new “Nice Tomète You” encounter — and for the very first time, our Home Tour is taking us beyond France. We’re heading to Italy, a country we have a very special affection for at Tomète, to celebrate the end of summer with sunshine, beautiful tables and the gentle rhythm of Mediterranean living.

In the north of the country, surrounded by greenery, a beautiful garden and late-summer light, we meet Valentina, the content creator behind @lafillesnob.

Passionate about interiors, fashion and the art of hosting, Valentina sees her home as a living, inspiring space where every object tells a story. Vintage finds collected over the years, handmade ceramics, books and flowers from the garden come together in a warm interior, shaped slowly over time rather than perfectly decorated.

Her world celebrates the little rituals of everyday life: setting a beautiful table without waiting for a special occasion, mixing vintage and contemporary pieces, changing colours with the seasons and enjoying long moments spent together as a family.

Today, she opens the doors to her home and garden to share her inspirations, her love of natural materials and craftsmanship, her approach to hosting and her take on Tomète.

What kind of host are you? Team “I plan the menu and table setting weeks in advance” or Team “last minute”?

Somewhere in between. I usually have an idea in mind, but I love leaving room for spontaneity, flowers from the garden, fruit from the market and a few last-minute details that make the table feel alive.

“Mrs. Cold” by Kings of Convenience. It’s one of those songs I can listen to over and over again, and it always makes home feel a little more special.

How did you first discover Tomète?

I discovered Tomète through Instagram and immediately connected with its aesthetic. I loved the colours, the embroidery and the attention to detail, there was something fresh and distinctive about it that immediately caught my eye.

Which Tomète piece did you choose, and why?

I chose a selection of pieces: placemats, napkins, coasters, a terry towel and a pouch. I loved the idea of bringing Tomète into different little rituals of everyday life, from setting the table to slower moments by the pool, and I was especially drawn to the colours, embroidery and playful details.

What role does home linen play in your interior?

Home linens can completely change the atmosphere of a space. I love mixing vintage textiles with contemporary pieces and changing colours with the seasons, a beautiful tablecloth or embroidered napkin can make even the simplest meal feel special.

What’s inspiring you in interiors right now? 

Right now I’m inspired by old Italian homes, antique markets, late-summer gardens and interiors that feel collected rather than decorated. 

Is there a colour or material you’re particularly drawn to at the moment?

Soft blues, warm whites, natural linen, aged wood and handmade ceramics, timeless materials that bring a sense of calm.

Who would you love to see featured in our next Nice Tomète You interview?

I’d love to see Colombe Campana, founder of Call It By Your Name. I love her sense of colour, her eye for textiles and craftsmanship, and the very personal world she has created around them. Everything she does feels joyful, distinctive and full of character.
